A total of 18 distinct design tools utilised in Nordic universities in diverse Learning Design (LD) scenarios are identified at this point (April 2024). These tools function in both open practices and more facilitated practices, serving varied purposes such as supporting design thinking related to teaching and curriculum development, focusing on specific educational methods, and evaluating design effectiveness, among other objectives.
